Who We Are:

The Torrance Woman’s Club was founded in 1921. Our historic and beautiful clubhouse located in downtown Torrance was built in the Mission Style in 1925.

Our Club is a non-profit philanthropic organization. Last year we donated over $25,000 in cash and $8,300 in material donations to various charities and scholarships. Our 100 club members donated over 27,426 hours of their time to these charities.

Scholarships - Our Main Philanthropy

Education and Scholarships for local students is one of our main philanthropies.   A scholarship is awarded annually to each of the five Torrance Unified School District high schools.  Money is awarded to a graduating senior to help pay for further education.  Students submit for this scholarship through their senior application process.  We may also choose to donate scholarships to the Nursing Program at Los Angeles Harbor College in Wilmington, CA, the Adult Education Program, and many other programs that all need our help.
